Taking new steps forward.

Xiaoye told me that I need to achieve at least 52 new achievements during my stay here, which means hitting one new check per week. At the end of 2014, I can proudly look back and see all the achievements I've made. Well, but it depends WHAT you classify as NEW things. Simple things like washing a car in the States is new to me! There's a station for you to park your car, insert coins to dispense soap & water, use the brush, etc. - all to be done within the specific time.

Anyhow, I'm still penning down each of the more remarkable new things I've done as I go along.

The few highlights thus far:

(i) Getting a puppy!!! I have never ever imagine myself (I used to be afraid to dogs) owning a dog, more so walking the pup and cuddling and spending most of my time with her. Cookie is such a sweetheart, cute but naughty and she's the love of my life now! :D

(ii) Wakeboarding!! I'm not a sports person and I guessed I surprised everyone when I managed to stand up at my first try. Thou' weather was a let down, we totally'd a good time and I see myself giving another shot at this activity.

(iii) Go-Kart (and probably getting the sand & mud all over myself and into my mouth)! Was literally covered with cold sweat before that cos I hate the adrenaline rush. Turned out to be quite fun, minus all the bruises I got after that and of cos, the mud on me.

(iv) After so much empty talks of learning In-line Skating, I'm finally get my foot on it! So prepared to fall with my full gear and I did, on a grass patch luckily. But they said I'm doing a pretty good job so far with just 2 lessons. It's kinda addictive and I look forward to my weekly session these days :)

And... if pumping petrol is considered an achievement too..
